Little Bears

Classroom News

Leaves falling on the ground, leaves changing colors, pumpkins, scarecrows, and turkeys are just some of the things we made and talked about in the month of November. During the month of November, we have been learning about Fall Harvest and Thanksgiving. A couple of fun facts we learned this month are only the male turkeys gobble, bees spread the pollen from flower to flower to make pumpkins and apples grow and pumpkins come in colors of green, red, tan, yellow, white or even blue!

November 2023

Some of the books we have enjoyed reading this month are:  Pete the Cat Falling For Autumn by James Kimberly Dean, There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves and There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey both by Lucille Colandro.

We have been learning the Square poem and the writing to the Number 3 poem

Sandy Square

Is my name.

My four side.

Are all the same!

Around a Tree,

Around a Tree,

That's the way to make

A three!

Ask your child to teach you these poems, even better have them teach you while they practice drawing a square and writing a 3. This is a great way to reinforce the lessons at home.
